Spayne Lindsay advises Mitsui & Co. Ltd (“Mitsui”) on the sale of two businesses to Manfield Partners (“Manfield”).

Spayne Lindsay is delighted to announce the successful disposal of two separate businesses in two distinct geographies on behalf of Mitsui:

• MCM Select Foods Limited which is based in the UK and is primarily engaged in the marketing and distribution of canned seafood and fruits to the UK multiple retailers; and
• MCM Foods BV which is based in The Netherlands and has a long history of marketing and distributing canned seafood to Dutch, German and Belgian retailers.

Annual turnover for the two businesses is approximately £75 million. Both businesses have been acquired by UK private equity firm Manfield Partners. Details of the consideration paid have not been disclosed.
